leaving cell blank
I am building a time card.
what i want to do in cell n22 is add the entries in cells n7:n20, but leave n22 blank if there is nothin in those cells. Tried =IF(N7:N20="","",SUM(N7:N20)) but get a value error. Am I going at this wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I think I have attached the file so maybe it will make more since. Thanks, Jerry. |

Hi
you cannot use a condition like N7:N20="" But why not just use =SUM(N7:N20) You can hide the zero result if needed with formatting or changing Excel options
