Formatting unprotected cell in protected w/s makes the cell locked?
In my protected worksheet I edit an unprotected cell. When I change the format, sometimes (not all the time) the cell changes to "Locked". When making the cell unprotected I select the Edit and Format cell options. I have not been able to duplicate the situation, but it happens once in a while. Is there an answer to this? |

Are there any macros in this spreadsheet?
I suspect you might have some code at the sheet level. Why it might happen sometimes and not others...if you do have sheet level code it would depend on what cells are identified to trigger the macro. Take a look at this |

Formatting unprotected cell in protected....
No, I don't use any macros in the workbook in question. I cannot recreate the condition, but will try to get additional info next time it happens.
Thanks for the prompt reply. |
