Shortcut to haven ascending values in row/column of cells
Hello --
Is there any shortcut in excel 2010 to select a cell (the one I have contains a date) and then fill in successive cells with ascending dates, in my case ascending days of the same month? I can click on the lower right hand corner and drag, but I thought it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut. |

Hard to compete with dragging the Fill Handle, but another way (if not a shortcut) is:
Enter for example today's date in A1. With A1 selected, press Fill and then Series. In the Series dialog, tick Columns, Date and Day, set step value to 1 and stop value to for example last day in August. Press OK. But it is hardly any better than dragging the Fill Handle. |
