Excel Language Settings
I work on Windows 10 (default language English, secondary language Norwegian) and use Office 365.
As I’m used to using Excel in English, I followed several lines of instructions to get excel in English (standard), and not Norwegian (which uses different shortcuts, formula names, and for me, just isn’t intuitive). Once I change these settings to English, and restart the applications, they are in English. The next time I start my computer, however, they are in Norwegian again. This is especially annoying as I work with large files, that take ages to open, only to find out that I have to change the language settings again, and open them anew. While I could be doing something wrong, another thing keeps happening that might suggest otherwise: after switching off the “start screen when program starts” for excel or word, it is often (but not always) switched on again, and showing, after my computer is restarted. For that reason, I wonder if something might be purging the settings every time the computer is restarted. Suggestions are welcome! |
