Default Must use VBA to achieve conditional formatting along with expanding table columns?

If you add a new column to a table (which has already been applied to conditional formatting), the conditional formatting will not automatically apply to the new column.

Then, is it a must to use VBA to achieve the effect?

Any help is welcome!
