Default Excel 2000 macros in excel 13

Can someone tell me please whether or not macros recorded in Excel 2000 will work in Excel 13. (now abandoning XP for Win 7, then maybe Windows 10). Thank you.

I take it you mean Excel 2013? In that case the answer is probably yes. It depends what the macro does. Some VBA functionality has changed, but most of it is the same. The answer is to try it and if it doesn't work let's cross that bridge then.
