Default Printing in A3 using the maximum page area

Hi,

I need some help with printing a spreadsheet in A3. The spreadsheet is 57 Columns by 44 Rows. I want to print this on a single sheet and in Landscape mode.....and then be able to read it!

Whilst I can set the Print Options in A3, the output is less than satisfactory as the print is confined to the upper part of the sheet and is leaving about a 1/3 to a 1/4 of the page unused. Using the bottom 1/3 or 1/4 will make it much easier to read the print. I have changed margins to narrow and made each Row abd Column as small as possible.

The spreadsheet is being produced using Excel 2003 and is on a network.

The question therefore is how to force the output to use the whole page or at least most of it?

Grateful for some advice and guidance.

Thanks

Have you tried setting the print scaling to 1 page width & height? If you have, and a portion of the page remains unused, that's because your worksheet doesn't require a full page when scaled to fit. If you have spare width, you can try increasing the column widths. Conversely, if you have spare height, you can increase the row heights. In either case, choosing a different font can both improve legibility without an increase in point size and, depending on the font, allow a larger point size. For example, if you have spare height, changing to Arial Narrow will allow a larger point size than, say, Arial, without increasing the overall width.

Thanks for your help.

I did as you said and I now have a full page print.

Thanks again.
