Want a quotient using a constant to show up in column c each time a number is added to column b
Hi all,
I'm using Excel 2007 in Win 7. I'm trying to set up two columns within a spread sheet so that every time a new number is entered into Column B, (for instance) the quotient arrived at by dividing that number by a constant appears in Column C on the same row. New numbers will be added to Column B a few times an hour, often enough that I don't want to enter a formula for each entry. Not real experienced with Excel, but used Basic about 20 years ago, if that helps. and sorry if this has been answered already, I couldn't find it. Thanks, Pecoflyer
My columns and rows vary, but just substituting values worked a treat! I'd like to mark this as solved, but I can't figure out how. Maybe someone else will. Thanks again. --fibbermcghee |
