I'm trying to input numbers into excel for work purposes and I cant it looks like theres apiece of paper on the end of my mouse pointer. does anyone know what this is and how to fix.

I am not sure I understand you correctly, but entering numbers into Excel cells can be done siply by clicking once on the cell and typing in the numbers. If you need to correct the numbers, simply either double click on the cell and make the corrections or cick once and correct the numbers on the formula bar just above the cells.
