Default Excel 2013 drops all numbers if I save to Dropbox

I do not know is this is a dropbox or excel issue.
Populated excel files drop all numbers if I save to dropbox. This is true whether file is attachment or newly created. When opened in dropbox the excel template shows below the ribbon. Thereafter is a literally a grey area with no numbers, no cells, nothing at all. I do not have problems with word or adobe files.
