Default Conditional Formatting

If the value in cell D10 is greater than 100, the in Cell E10 I want "Exception" printed in Red and I want Exception to continuously blink off and on.

In Lotus 123 this could be done (i.e., the word Exception to blink)

Question:

Is there a way in Excel 2013 to make the value in Cell E10 blink off and on? If so, please explain how.

Thank you

Not in Excel. Conditional formatting applies a static format. If you want anything else, you'll need a macro. And any macro you might use for this will seriously compromise Excel's ability to do simple things like cut & paste.

Paul: Thanks for your help. Gee, I wish I could remember how LOTUS did it. I remember that it was a simple task.
