Default cannot start the source application for this object - Excel

I am working with an Excel spreadsheet and I inserted an excel spreadsheet into the file following this procedure:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...005190159.aspx

However when I send it my colleagues get the error message:
'cannot start the source application for this object'

Hi Charles

Can you confirm that all your users have the same version of Excel that you have created the file from?

Hi Charles
In that case I recommend you save your master file as a 2003 version and then embed the worksheet in your Word document. This will ensure there are no compatibility issues.
Good luck.
