Default Perhaps a newbie question I know but

when I export a contacts file from outlook to excel, i get (in excel) a character similar to II occurring - usually between a street name and a suite number in an address. When I edit the cell in the formula bar there is a ? (in a box) where that symbol appears in the cell.

i want to edit the contact list in excel and import it back into outlook (i know how to do this) but I do not know what the II is all about.

Could it be a line break? if so, need it be entered in that format when editing, or will a line break default as a II?

Any enlightening would be appreciated.
