Search Multiple Strings and if Present get single word as output
Hey I am thinking about creating an excel which would analyse a press release and would search with different strings and if the string is present than it would give a single word as out put example - if the terms - "Board" and " Approved" are present in A1 (Press release) then in A2 "Board Approval" should come. If terms "Legal" and "advisor" are present in the A1 (Press Release) then in A3 "Legal Advisor" should come. I have close to 20 such combinations (some with 2 words, some with 4 or more) and there output if present. can some one please help me |

You can do this with VBA and use the Case Select functions. You will need to identity each of the combinations and the expected result for each of the combos. If you would like to upload a sample (representative) workbook with these scenarios, I am sure that a viable solution can be supplied. Without seeing some actual information, it is difficult to prescribe a solution.
