Default Autofill data from web

Hello!
I am trying to find a way to do the following:
Paste this link in a cell: http://www.sportsdirect.com/karrimor...lcode=18208403
And get the name of the product, the Product code form the description and the Colour in the next three cells.
Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!

I can help you with this. I am quite experienced at web scraping and pulling data with the DOM. Do you have any code written yet? My assumption would be that you want to do this for a bunch of products and not just one so to save time can you attach your workbook? Also are you interested in learning this or do you just need something that works for now?

I copy-paste this information every day and it's very tiring and time-consuming.
I am curious to understand how it will works, but I know that I will need IT skills that I don't have. So it will probably take a lot of explaining and I will probably not be able to understand it well without the basic knowledge. So a ready "formula" is probably the best solution for now. I have Excel knowledge but non of programming. I don't have any code now.
I tried a Get data from web in Excel but it will copy all the information from the page. And I only need these three things - name, code and color.
I will be very thankful if you can help me with a working decision.

Ok. I can put this together for you. I have 2 options that I am thinking of.

1.
You put a list of URLS in column A of a spreadsheet and then hit a button that will automatically pull the name, color and code in columns B, C, and D.

2.
You click on a button that is in the spreadsheet. This button will bring up a dialog box that you can then copy and paste a URL into. Once you press enter the program will grab the data you need and put the URL in col A, Descripton in B, Color in C and Sku in D. Then the dialog box will appear again and ask for another URL where you can just put another in until you hit cancel.

Let me know which one of these sounds best and I will get to work on it.

Thanks

Awesome!
The first one sounds better. Now my table is organised col C - link, col D - Name, col F - code, col G - color. But I can change them in another order if necessary.
Thank you very much

Ok here is a quickly made simple program that will check urls in column C. If you decide to add more urls it should go ahead and check the urls that have not been checked yet.

A couple of notes.

This program crawls the internet and pulls the data from a web page. The web page is pulled from the server and takes some time to load. You should ensure that you are allowed to crawl the site you run it on and are not violating any TOS.

I have a line that will select the row as it goes through. If you need this line to be ignored just a put an apostrophe right in front to turn the whole line into a comment.

Do not change the worksheet name or you will get errors. This is to prevent the code trying to run on another workbook.

Be sure to save all Excel work and make backups before running this. If you get any issues with running the code let me know or just google how to enable macros for your version of office.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Glad its working out. As long as they dont update their site layout it should be pretty solid. Feel free to mark this thread as solved.

Hi again!

The Crawler has been working flawlessly and has been of a great help for me.

I now need similar crawlers for 6-7 more websites. Do you think I will be able to understand how to do it myself? Because it would be a lot of work to be done and I wouldn't want to bother you again?
