Default How to place two graphics exactly side by side

I am currently using MS 2013 and am having difficulty placing two boxes of tables together. I am making up an answer sheet for some of my students and I want to place the boxes side by side with a small gap separating them. I have no problem making the tables (7 x 4) but when I try to place them together they either won't go or appear out of line. Perhaps someone can help.

I am using Word 2013 and I want to place two graphics (Tables) on a page side by side. Every time I try, it either won't let me or place it at all or puts one slightly above or below the other. I think I know what it is trying to do but I can't work out how to get past it. Some help is needed.

Which are they - graphics or tables? What text wrapping are you using?

Instead of actually putting two tables side by side, you can add an extra column whose borders you hide, to create the effect of two side by side tables.
