Default Word to pdf - duplicate images

Hello,

I am having some problems when converting to pdf from a docx file. The file has a number of tiff images inserted (using file...insert picture). Some of these images are 6 to the page (2 columns of 3) and these convert as expected. However I also have one set of images that are 9 to the page (3 columns by 3 rows). These images are oddly duplicated in the pdf so there are two of each image.

I have tried removing the set of 9 images and reinserting. Copying the whole file and pasting into a new word document. Accepting all tracked changes. Using a different pdf convertor (I am submitting this work for publication and have to use the publishers online convertor - this provides the same results as the inbuilt saveas...pdf option in word)

None of these solutions have worked.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to get this to work? Do you need any more information (unfortunately I am unable to provide the file for confidentiality reasons).

Thanks

Andy

It's possible the document has acquired some for of corruption. Corrupt documents can often be 'repaired' by inserting a new, empty, paragraph at the very end, copying everything except that new paragraph to a new document based on the same template (headers & footers may need to be copied separately), closing the old document and saving the new one over it. Similarly (since you mention rows & columns), corrupt tables can often be 'repaired' by converting the tables to text and back again or by saving the document in RTF format, closing the document then re-opening it and re-saving in the doc(x) format
