How to manipulate the entire image?
I downloaded a MS Timeline template. It's largely comprised of a long rectangle with text box arrows along the spine (attached).
I can cut/paste, move and duplicate either a text box or the long rectangle. What I'm trying to do unsuccessfully is copy the entire timeline (rectangle and boxes) as a unit and either duplicate it on the same page or move it. All my efforts result in the bar leaving the boxes behind? Mark |

To copy the timeline (which is a table) and text boxes together as a unit, you need to "group" all of the objects together. To do this, click on each object with the "shift key" depressed; then click on the "Format" ribbon and select the "Group" drop down menu from the "Arrange" section (near the far right-hand side of the ribbon).
Hope this helps... |

Actually, you don't have to group them - merely selecting them as a collection via Shift-Click is enough. Once all have been selected, you can copy & paste them as a collection.

Agreed. I was merely insuring the OP was incorporating them as a unit. However, your method works just as well (with fewer steps).

I ended up just using Shift click
