Default locking shape within shape

How can I lock the following shapes so that it becomes one??

oval fits into rectangle in middle for these two


oval extends half way into the rectangle.

Hi Cathy,

Your images don't display. However, if you select two or more autoshapes, you can use the 'Group' option to link them so that, if copied or moved, their relationships remain constant.
